-------------- Downloaded from the Virtual Compendium -------------- Work Title: Weighted Work Author: Michael Gresley (grez@hotbot.com) Category: Poetry Short Desc: An evening's revelation... Date: 12/4/00 Time: 10:30:47 AM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- deep twilight sky not yet dark enough for stars silky blue with viscous dimension thin, continuous cloud stretches from the horizon's points a phantom arm holding the world beneath it is the moon the circle can be seen, but the reflected light is merely a sliver It lies on the bottom, rather than the side, heavy, weighted, just like this night and my head How did I arrive...here... and where is here? Can't stay...stillness is death... so where do I go now that I have arrived, and why? In consideration of these queries, I feel a strange indifference, and I question its honesty No choice is also a choice a lack of control desperate helplessness To escape into the depths of blue as dust as a sound wave as air To curl within the phantom arm to hang from the sliver Save me Forever is a long time -------------- http://www.hwebtech.com/compendium --------------
