The 1998-99 Honor Club Award

The Honor Club award creates an award which recognizes the club who does the work to distinguish them-selves through service to, and involvement in the Home, School and Community. There are three award levels for the Honor Club Award: Please mail completed award application by January 30, 1999 and to:

The Honor Club - Which earns a minimum of 300 points and less than 349 points

The Distinguished Honor Club - Which earns 350 or more points and less than 399 points

The Super Honor Club - Which earns 400 or more points

  1. Service and Involvement
    1. Service
      1. Take the Total hours of service for your entire club, and divide that number by the number of members in your club. That total is the average hour per member.
      2. If your total is between 15 to 34 hours per member, then you receive 5 pts.
      3. If your total is between 35 to 54 hours per member, then you receive 10 pts.
      4. If your total is between 55 to 74 hours per member, then you receive 15 pts.
      5. If your total is 75 hours per member, then you receive 20 pts.
      6. If, for instance, your club has 34.025 hours per member then you may round up to 35. Basically if your club has any fraction over and above a number, round up.
    2. Involvement
      1. Member Growth
        1. If your club's membership increases by at least 1 member, then you receive 1 pt.
        2. If your club's membership increases by either 5 members, or 5% of your total members , then you receive 5 pts
        3. If your club's membership increases by either 10 members, or 10% of your total members , then you receive 10 pts
      2. Delegates
        1. If your club has two delegates at Chicago District Convention, then you receive 10 pts.
        2. If your club has one delegate at Atlanta International Convention, then you receive 20 pts.

         

      3. Divisional Meetings
        1. If your club has 100% attendance at divisional meetings, then you receive 15 pts.
        2. If your club has 75% to 99% attendance at divisional meetings, then you receive 10 pts.
        3. If your club has 50% to 74% attendance at divisional meetings, then you receive 5 pts.
        4. If your club has 25% to 49% attendance at divisional meetings, then you receive 1 pt.
      4. President's Council Meeting's
        1. If your club has 100% attendance at P.C.M.'s, then you receive 15 pts.
        2. If your club has 75% to 99% attendance at P.C.M.'s, then you receive 10 pts.
        3. If your club has 50% to 74% attendance at P.C.M.'s, then you receive 5 pts.
        4. If your club has 25% to 49% attendance at P.C.M.'s, then you receive 1 pt.
      5. Regional Training Conference
        1. If your club sends 4 officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Stat. Secretary), then you receive 20 points
        2. If your club sends 3 officers, then you receive 15 points
        3. If your club sends 2 officers, then you receive 10 points
        4. If your club sends an officer, then you receive 5 points
      6. District Board members, or not quite. . .
        1. If the Lieutenant Governor of the division is from your club, then receive 15 pts.
        2. If someone from your club runs for, and does not win, Lieutenant Governor of your division, then receive 5 pts.
        3. If an elected District Executive Board Member is from your club, then receive 20 pts.
        4. If someone from your club runs for, and does not win, an elected District Executive Board Position, then receive 10 pts.
        5. If an appointed District Executive Board Member is from your club, then receive 15 pts.
        6. If an International Board Member is from your club, then receive 25 pts.
        7. If someone from your club runs for, and does not win, an International Board Position, then receive 15 pts.
      7. Circle K Involvement
        1. If your club attends Holiday Embrace or Circle K Convention, then you receive 10 pts.
        2. If your club attends a Circle K meeting, then you receive 10 pts.
      8. Kiwanis Involvement
        1. If your club attends the Kiwanis Governor's Visit, then you receive 5 pts.
        2. If your club attends 1-2 Kiwanis meetings, then you receive 5 pts.
        3. If your club attends 3-5 Kiwanis meetings, then you receive 10 pts.
        4. If your club attends 6-10 Kiwanis meetings, then you receive 15 pts.
        5. If your club attends 11 or more Kiwanis meetings, then you receive 20 pts.
      9. Interclubs
        1. Kiwanis Interclubs
          1. If your club has 1-2 interclubs with your Kiwanis Club, then you receive 5 pts.
          2. If your club has 3-4 interclubs with your Kiwanis Club, then you receive 10 pts.
          3. If your club has 5 or more interclubs with your Kiwanis Club, then you receive 15 pts.
        2. Key Club Interclubs
          1. If your club has 1-2 interclubs with another Key Club, then you receive 5 pts.
          2. If your club has 3-4 interclubs with another Key Club, then you receive 10 pts.
          3. If your club has 5 or more interclubs with another Key Club, then you receive 15 pts.
      10. Reporting
        1. If your club has 100% reporting and it is on-time, then you receive 25 pts.
        2. If your club has 100% reporting, then you receive 10 pts.
      11. Rosters
        1. If your club turns in their roster by June 15, 1998, then receive 15 pts.
        2. If your club turns in their roster between June 16, 1998 and August 10, 1998 then receive 10 pts.
        3. If your club turns in their roster between August 11,1998 and September 1, 1998 then receive 5 pts.
      12. Iolian Contributions
        1. If your club contributes any articles to the Iolian then receive 15 pts.(limit 1)
  2. AWARDS
    1. Distinguished Awards (Limit 48 pts.)
      1. If your club has any distinguished officers, for the current year, then receive 10 pts per distinguished officer.
      2. If your club has any distinguished members, for the current year, then receive 2 pts per distinguished member.
    2. District Awards
      1. If your club applies for the Theme and Major Emphasis Award, then you receive 15 pts.
      2. If your club applies for the K relations Award, then you receive 10 pts.
      3. If your club enters the scrapbook competition at any level, then receive 15 pts.
      4. If your club applies for the Public Relations Award, then receive 10 pts.
      5. If your club applies for the TEAMS Award, then receive 20 pts.
    3. International Awards
      1. If your club applies for the Single Service Award, then receive 15 pts.
      2. If your club applies for the Achievement Award, then receive 15 pts.
  3. Miscellaneous
    1. Dues
      1. If your club is QUEASY, Early Bird, and on-time dues collection, then receive 30 pts.
      2. If your club is an Early Bird and on-time dues collection, then receive 20 pts.
      3. If your club has on-time dues collection, then receive 10 pts.
    2. SPIDD
      1. Please take the sum of your Club's Spastic's donation and IDD donation and divide that by the total number of members in your club to get the average donation per member.
      2. If the average donation per member is $1.00 to $5.00, then receive 10 pts.
      3. If the average donation per member is $5.01 to $10, then receive 15 pts.
      4. If the average donation per member is $10.01 or more, then receive 20 pts.
