1998-99 Public Relations Award
The Public Relations Award was created to recognize clubs that increase Key Club awareness and support through Public Relations. To receive this award, you must fulfill the requirements below. Public Relations is vital to increasing the awareness and support of Key Club, and we will reward your efforts with a banner patch at convention.
Criteria
Clubs that earn a minimum of 115 points will receive a Public Relations Banner Patch. Clubs that go above and beyond to earn a minimum of 200 points will receive the Super Public Relations Banner Patch, an award that was introduced last year. Also, the top three clubs with the most points will receive a plaque at District Convention
Categories
- TV Coverage: 30 Points if a telecast is used.
(Must send tape or advisor's verification) Does not include paid Advertising. Limit 1
- Radio Coverage: 20 Points for each different broadcast.
(Must send proof.) Limit 2
- Article in KeyNoter: 25 Points
(The form to send in an article to KeyNoter will be in the PR Booklet.)
- Article in Iolian: 15 Points for the Article. 20 Points if a picture is also printed Limit 1
- Local Newspaper: 15 Points for each different article published (send copy.) Limit 4
- Paid Advertising: 10 Points
(This can be a variety of things such as paid advertising in a yearbook, on TV or Over the radio) *Send Proof
- Lt. Governor Newsletter: 2 Points for each issue your club is recognized (send proof) Limit 5
- Flyers: 10 Points (A flyer is a publication that tells non-key clubbers about Key Club events) Limit 4
- Web Page: 10-15 Points Send us information about your page.
- Misc. PR: 5-15 Points If you came up with any other creative ways to inform people about your club, send us a letter explaining what you did.
