[ About Me ]
In theory, you've come to this site to learn a little about me. That being the case, this is probably where you want to be. I really don't think that I've lead that interesting of a life, but some people have certain voyeuristic tendencies which have to be fulfilled and I'd rather you spend hours surfing around my personal website than sneaking around outside of someone's house, stalking them. (Especially if that person is me)

Hi.
My name is Pete. There are lots of other Pete's, but I'm the only one like me. This, I've decided, is a very good thing. I'm not sure that the world could take too many people like me. Which begs the question: what am I like?

What is anyone like? In what terms does one describe themselves to someone else? I guess we'll start by saying that I'm a little sarcastic. I like to joke, nothing is sacred. I've decided that if you can't let loose and laugh, sometimes at yourself, you may as well just wither up and die because you're sure to lead a miserable existence. Me being the fun-loving, sarcastic and cynical guy that I am, you may be wondering what it means if *I* can't laugh at you. That's easy. It just means that I don't know that you exist. Sorry, there are roughly six billion people on this earth... I can't possibly know about all of them. I guess you'll just have to find some other way to quantify the quality of your life.

History is a pretty neat thing, when you don't have to study it. I was born in North Carolina, but have managed to live in at least twelve states (NC, OH, WI, ND, LA, KY, MI, PA, IN, NV, OK, IL, and AL). No, I'm not an army brat. My father did serve in the Marine Corps but that was long before my time. My family and I moved around because my Dad was a DJ and we went where the jobs were. I guess, in a weird sort of way, we were nomadic. Moving around so much was certainly a defining aspect of my character. I can make friends at the drop of a hat and "fit-in" in a zillion different situations and groups of people. The downside is that I don't really emotionally bond with people very well. It seems to take forever and then I'm still able to quickly detach and move on. I'm working on it though.

My family is awesome. I've got two parents who love me and three younger sibilings who annoy me. It's just like the Bradys... not really. My dad was a morning show DJ, so he's pretty funny. Of course, all things are relative. I really didn't think it was all that funny when it was aimed in my direction, but I certainly did learn a lot from the old man. My mom provided me with my eye for detail, organization, and metabolism. I'm sure I'll be much more thankful for the third when I'm thirty and not fat. The three sibilings help to keep life interesting. Kecia (the oldest of the three) is the social-butterfly. Everyone knows her, everyone (who's not jealous) likes her. Ryan is a fifteen year old boy. Enough said. I'm sure I acted just like he does when I was his age, and I turned out Ok... so I guess I'll just have to see it through. If he ends up in jail, it's not my fault. My sister Ara is the youngest, but I think she's already the smartest of the four of us. I'm sure she'll be rich and famous someday. Maybe she'll even support her slacker brothers and sister.

Currently I'm a Junior at the University of Alabama where I Major in Computer Science. It would be funny to put something clever for a minor here, like skipping class or getting turned down by girls but the real truth (as opposed to that darn fake truth) is that my minor is Math and there isn't much that's less funny than Math. I enjoy my time here, but I'm convinced that more of it should be spent in the classroom or studying. Oh well, I'll remember that for my next lifetime. I do several things here at UA. One of them is cheering on our team. Whether it's Football, Basketball, or Womens Gymnastics (and I looove some womens gymnastics), I'm all about the Crimson Tide. As far as organized extra curriculars, I'm a member of the Blount Student Association, the Ambassadors for the College of Arts & Sciences, and a proud member of one of the strongest Circle K chapters in the world.

When I was five, my parents dropped me off of a two story building and into a flower bed. Luckily I survived with only a few physical deformities. No, not really... in fact I've never really been seriously injured. I've had my obligatory sports injuries but I've never broken a bone or had anything severed. I have had some offers to change that little statistic. I have declined all such offers.

I was born on Thanksgiving in 1980. The rest of my family was born in close proximity to other Holidays as well. (Namely, my parents... sorry bad joke) Kecia was born near April Fool's Day; Ryan on the 4th of July; Ara near Grandparents Day; Dad on the 23rd of December -- Christmas Eve Eve; and Mom right near Valentines day. Neat huh? No? Fine then, be that way.

Someday I'll write more about myself here. You're more than welcome to write something about me to be posted here. It would help if you knew me, but I guess that's not really a requirement. If you decide to help the cause, just type something up and email it to me or use the feedback form. If you don't feel like doing that, then don't complain.
